Are missing teeth keeping YOUR smile hidden from the world?
Single Tooth Implant Teeth in a Day (Actual Patient)
Dental implants are surgically fixed substitutes for roots of missing teeth. Embedded in the jawbone, they act as anchors for a replacement tooth, also known as a crown, or a full set of replacement teeth which may be fixed or removable.
Most implants are made of titanium, which is very effective at fusing with living bone (osseointegration). The purpose of dental implant surgery is to fix titanium root-like anchors in the jaw bone so that they can receive the replacement teeth and hold them in place. Dental implants should be considered as an option for replacing failing or missing teeth and often provide more predictable results than bridgework, resin bonded bridges, or endodontic treatment.
There are a few different types of implants and a number of different restoration options. With the help of 3D computer guided imaging we will help you chose the treatment that’s right for you.
The most commonly type of implant used is the "screw type implant" and it is shaped like the root of a tooth. This type implant requires plenty of width and depth to your jawbone. If your jawbone is too narrow or short for placement implants, bone grafting may be needed to allow for their placement.
After undergoing this multi-step process, most patients find they have a better feeling, better looking, and more stable solution to their tooth loss than more traditional dental reconstructive approaches.
